This five-star hotel is located in one of the Presqu’île district’s most history-filled and iconic buildings, which was Lyon’s first hospital in the twelfth century: the Hôtel-Dieu. This exceptional site, on the banks of the Rhône, manages to combine both grandness and intimacy, monumentality and a human touch. Soon, travellers from around the world will be able to discover 114 rooms and 30 suites offering superb luxury and an interior designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel, a huge name in the high-end hotel sector. His aim is to modernise, by creating a new identity, while respecting the building’s heritage value. The impressive 32-metre-high Soufflot dome will be home to the hotel’s bar.
