Paris is a cyclist’s dream with its bike lanes (lanes for the famous Velib bikes which were introduced a few years ago has helped) which allow visitors to explore classic monuments, neighborhoods, hidden charming back streets, open airmarkets and gourmet streets. You can pop into any museum, as all our guides are fully licensed. A suggested itinerary for a full day bike tour: start at the Ile de la Cité, explore the Notre Dame, cycle over to the Left Bank Latin Quarter, Jardin du Luxembourg (great for kids as a pit-stop), weaving through the cobbled streets of St Germain des Prés. The Bike Tour could take in Les Invalides and Rodin Museum, while selecting a lunch at a wonderful street market and stopping for a picnic withthe Eiffel Tower as your backdrop or a meal in a nearby brasserie, depending on the weather. After, continue over tothe Right Bank, Palais Royal and le Marais, then enjoy a gourmet afternoon treat at the Place des Vosges and continue onwards! Important notes:
- This bike tour can be personalized with total flexibility. - For families with small children, special equipment can be prearranged so they ride along with their parents. - Helmets, baskets, child seats and children’s bikes can be prearranged. - Are they safe? Absolutely! They follow carefully planned routes using bike lanes, larger footpaths and small backstreets. The bikes come with locks so they can be safely locked during a museum visit. - The only requirement: one must be able to ride a bike!
