This exciting combined tour takes in two of Normandy’s most celebrated sights – the historic D-Day Landing Beaches and the bewitching island of Mont Saint Michel. You’ll be taken to the gorgeous beaches code-named Utah, Omaha, Gold Juno and Sword, to reimagine the historic moment when the Allied troops landed and began liberating Europe. Given their beauty today, these vast sand beaches don’t look like the site of one of the world’s largest invasions, however the war did leave its mark behind in the gun batteries and bunkers. From here, we’ll make our way to the imposing Mont Saint-Michel and its gorgeous Benedictine abbey, one of France's most picturesque UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Ideally situated in the middle of a bay, this magnificent mound is topped by a historic medieval monastery.
