You will start at the tombs of Marie-Antoinette and Louis XVI and trace their last footsteps. You will relive the momentous French Revolution, the uprising of the “sans-culottes”, the introduction of the guillotine, the Reign of Terror years under Robespierre, the rise of Napoleon and learn how the Revolution shaped Paris to be what it is today. You will retrace Marie Antoinette's last journey from the Conciergerie prison in her wooden tumbrel to her meeting Monsieur le Guillotine. Along the way, you will have a short stop at a wonderful old charcuterie place (hamand cheese from the Basque French region) for tastings and a glass of wine.
