This tour takes you into the hustle and bustle of an area very rarely explored by tourists. You will meet the “living treasures” of gilding, carving, and craft making along the way. You will explore back alleys and courtyards covered inrambling ivy where local artisans still make their crafts: cabinet makers, carpenters, gilders, marquetry in layers,upholsterers, bronze workers and ceramic painters. You will discover the history of these artisans who have been here since the 15th century. You will wander through a vibrant covered market which dates back to the 12th century. You will experience a colorful explosion of spices, truffle oils, tapenades, fresh produce, cheeses and flowers.
