The region of Normandy is particularly famous for its apple-based drinks including cider, pommeau and Calvados, an apple brandy. It’s home to La Route du Cidre or Cider Route, which follows the apple orchards, cider houses and Calvados distilleries. On this tour, we’ll follow part of the Cider Route and get the chance to visit a traditional 16th century Normandy castle, where we’ll discover all about the Calvados production and the fermentation process with a wine cellar master. You will also enjoy a tasting, which will take place in the castle’s beautiful orangerie.
