Step back in time to the prehistoric era, on this enthralling tour of Chauvet Cave (also known is Pont d’Arc Cave) and its surrounding sites. Chauvet Cave is one of the best-preserved figurative cave paintings ever discovered and is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of cave art. Dating back over 36,000 years ago, it’s quite a sight to behold. We’ll also spend some time exploring the breathtaking Gorges de Ardèche, nicknamed the ‘European Grand Canyon’, home to deep dramatic gorges and the celebrated Vallon Pont d’Arc, a natural limestone bridge carved by the river. From here, we’ll move on to the nearby village where you can discover its cute streets and squares, shopping for local produce such as goat’s cheese and chestnut ice cream.
